Gartner has released its 2026 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Endpoint Management Tools report, and Tanium was named a Leader. The long-anticipated report measures companies on their “Ability to Execute” and their “Completeness of Vision.” Tanium is positioned highest on the Completeness of Visions axis.
We’re humbled by this recognition of our position and grateful to our customers and partners who share our vision and have helped Tanium grow, learn, and earn its reputation as a trusted partner.
The market for endpoint management tools has come a long way, with autonomous endpoint management (AEM) capabilities anticipated to go mainstream before the end of the decade. I’m proud of the team and the advancements we’ve made with customers and partners to help move us forward and in that direction.
The complexity that IT and security teams face in safely managing and securing endpoints at scale has always been a challenge. If you zoom out, some of the problems that organizations face haven't changed for the last 30 years:
- Users still click on suspicious links; their devices still stop working, and the business processes the user supports just stops.
- Systems still break at exactly the wrong moment.
- Attackers are still trying to steal your data (albeit in increasingly sophisticated ways!).
But for those on the front lines, day after day, what has changed is the complexity and scale of technology estates, coupled with the demands created by modern organizations that simply cannot run or operate without IT. Virtually every decision an organization makes has an increasingly strong reliance on the powerful technology systems we all enjoy. While that has led to impressive business gains, the price tag for it is cyber and operational IT risk.
The scope of problems keeping you from being unstoppable is legion: it's not just the payroll system outage, or the order management service configuration drift. Increasingly it’s the devices out in the field, the mobile device the CEO carries around, or the robot in our factories. All these things matter, they matter to you, they matter to your business, and they matter to us.
Our mission is straightforward: to provide our customers and partners with the most effective solutions for safely securing and managing IT environments of any scale, in real time. Since our inception, building off the real-time advantages provided by our patented Linear Chain Architecture, Tanium has continuously been a visionary, introducing innovations that support the changing enterprise IT landscape, addressing the complex requirements of our clients.
Most recently, we’ve added a new class of AI-driven capabilities to empower your teams to investigate and respond to issues and threats with speed, precision and confidence. These include:
- Integrated AI-driven workflows directly into the Tanium platform to support AEM
- Tanium agents bringing new, seamless capabilities to partner platforms, like Microsoft and ServiceNow
- AI and real-time endpoint intelligence that turn manual, reactive processes to autonomous IT operations
Autonomous IT will revolutionize endpoint management
Tanium Autonomous IT is the next evolution in how organizations manage and secure every endpoint. Let me be clear: Autonomous IT is more than just automation; it’s about how real-time endpoint intelligence with AI fundamentally changes how IT and security work autonomously.
The key is real-time endpoint intelligence. Our global platform continuously analyzes telemetry in real-time across millions of endpoints. The sheer volume, variety, and velocity of this analysis delivers the right insights at the right time. It powers the automation, and it can give the IT user the confidence to make the right change safely, and to provide a more resilient IT solution to the business.
Before that patch is rolled out, before you remediate that zero-day, before you wipe that mobile device, you have the right insights to act with confidence.
In practical terms, using real-time endpoint intelligence allows automated changes to be rolled out across dynamic change management rings, even in the largest IT environments, because the decisions and actions are informed not by what your IT environment used to look like, but by how it looks right now. In other words, Endpoint Management without in-the-moment decisions based on in-the-moment intelligence means you’re going to target the wrong endpoints with the wrong change potentially breaking your IT environment, putting the business at risk.
Tanium Autonomous IT can make your business unstoppable
Today, the challenges facing IT and security teams are greater than ever before. As organizations adapt to relentless change and rising expectations for reliability, security, and productivity, every decision increasingly depends on robust IT systems.
This fact is precisely why the transition to autonomous IT is so critical. With the growing influence of AI, quantum computing, ambient technologies, and more, traditional reactive approaches are no longer sufficient. Instead, our vision is to empower businesses with an unstoppable, unified platform built for speed, scale, safety, and strong partnerships. Organizations must overcome the obstacles of today and be fully equipped for the complexities of tomorrow.
Ultimately, we see a future where the world’s leading organizations operate free from disruption, accelerate innovation, and improve people’s lives.
We see you as Unstoppable.
