Russ Evans

As chief legal officer, Russ Evans leads Tanium's global legal team and provides strategic counsel to the executive leadership team and Board of Directors on corporate governance, commercial transactions, compliance, and risk management.

Russ brings nearly three decades of legal experience across the technology and higher education sectors. Since joining Tanium in 2017, he has guided the company through significant growth and its transition from an on-prem to a SaaS business model. Prior to Tanium, he served as Senior Counsel at the University of California Office of the President and spent more than a decade at Electronic Arts, where he rose to Vice President of Legal Affairs. Earlier in his career, Russ was an associate at Heller Ehrman and clerked for the Honorable Martin J. Jenkins of the U.S. District Court.

Russ holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from UC Berkeley and a Juris Doctor from UC College of the Law, San Francisco.
