When opening a ticket in ServiceNow today, resolution runs through at least three systems: the incident record in ServiceNow, endpoint data in a separate console, and whatever knowledge base holds prior remediation steps. By default, most don't talk to each other.
So fulfillers move between them. Pull the ticket. Check the endpoint. Search for similar incidents. Build a remediation plan. Document what was found. Write it back to the ticket. Each step makes sense on its own. Together, they're a compounding cost that hits hardest when speed matters most: service-level agreement (SLA)-breached incidents, active exploitation, high-volume response windows.
The bottleneck isn't capability. It's workflow. Each manual context switch from the ticket to the endpoint console to the knowledge base and back, adds time fulfillers don't have when SLAs are breached or incidents are escalating. This integration doesn't change what tools are used. It changes how fulfillers access them: bringing endpoint data into the conversation so fulfillers spend less time looking things up and more time acting on them.
What we do that's better together
Tanium APIs enable endpoint intelligence to be surfaced directly inside the Moveworks AI Assistant, the same chat interface fulfillers use in Slack, Microsoft Teams, or the ServiceNow web experience.
Through the Moveworks Conversation API, Tanium’s real-time device data flows into the assistant’s context, so it can reason across endpoint state, incident history, and knowledge content at the same time.
In practice, that means fulfillers can:
- Receive real-time AI-generated incident summaries that include SLA status, affected configuration items, work history, and knowledge gaps, reducing the need to open the ServiceNow record separately.
- Access Tanium device health data for any affected endpoint with a single natural-language prompt, with results written to the incident's work notes through Moveworks' API integration with ServiceNow.
- Quickly find similar resolved incidents and obtain a remediation plan grounded in your organization’s own knowledge base and previously documented resolutions, with direct knowledge base links included when available.
- Assign, update, comment on, and resolve incidents from within the chat window, with actions and audit history synchronized to ServiceNow.
- Use fewer tabs. Fewer forms. Fewer handoffs.
The full sequence can run within a single chat session: proactive notification, self-assignment, AI-generated summary, Tanium health pull, incident search, remediation plan, comment, and resolution. ServiceNow is updated through automated API calls at each step, keeping the incident timeline synchronized without routine manual record maintenance.
